Okay, y'all, we LOVE trend forecasting for brides. Being able to keep a pulse on what our brides find unique, interesting, and customizable is important for our business. We want our brides to trust that we have their wedding visions in mind and we are always on the lookout for cool new trends in the wedding industry. Here a few trends we're seeing for 2022 brides and we are SO STOKED. Fall in love with some of these?! Let your consultant know and we can help style you with these in mind! Trend #1: Bridal Bows We are LOVING the bridal bow trend! Whether you're willing to wear one in your hair, on your shoes, on your dress, or more, bows are a cute and flirty way to add a little drama to your wedding day look. They're the perfect accent for a bride who wants a traditional, yet modern twist. We've seen brides style their looks with tulle hair bows, bow-tie shoes, and even gorgeous bows on the dress themselves! Trend #2: Bridal Jackets So bridal jackets aren't really ~new - we've seen a lot of brides create personalized denim/leather jackets for their wedding day. But instead of a coverup for cold weather, we're seeing brides include bridal jackets as part of their ceremony look! Dainty, feminine jackets out of tulle have been most popular, but we've seen some gorgeous lightweight bridal cardigans, fun bell-sleeves, feathers, and more! Don't be afraid to try something cool and different, especially if your dress is simplistic. Trend #3: Western-Inspired Accents Maybe it's because we're in Kansas, but our brides are LEANING into the Western-inspired design features and we are HERE FOR IT. Whether you're wanting leather details, turquoise jewelry, cowboy hats, dried florals, cow hide.....the lists go on and on! Western-inspired weddings mixed with fun, modern pieces are having a MOMENT right now and we love it. This is a great way to personalize your wedding while also showcasing something you love. Plus, we love the option of pairing your bridal look with bold squash blossoms - totally chic yet ultra cool! (See that gorgeous Western bride? That's #dgbabe, Kayla, who was featured in Western Weddings Magazine!) Trend #4: Bridal Headbands So if Blair Waldorf was getting married in 2022, she would ROCK this look. Preppy yet fashionable, we are loving the idea of pairing such a traditional hair piece for such a formal event. Instead of traditional bridal crystals, brides are opting for pearls, padded, and even attaching the veil to create a totally new look! The hair accessory of your youth is getting a sophisticated makeover for the ultimate bridal statement. Trend #5: Nontraditional Menswear Ties Don't forget about spicing up your groom's look! Menswear is really taking a front seat in wedding planning these days with many grooms wanting to make as much of a statement as the brides. We love grooms who decide to accent their look with unique details, particularly ties! Bolo ties are definitely having a moment, but we've seen grooms choose ascot/cravats, floral/patterned shirts, and even jewelry instead! Don't sleep on having your man look just as fashionable as you do. Would you rock some of these 2022 trends?! Tell us your favorites at your appointment or in our Facebook comments!
