We think that sometimes, grooms don't get nearly as much as love as they deserve. It's their wedding day, too, after all! If you're going to look drop dead gorgeous, then we think your spouse deserves to look their ultra best as well. Our tuxedo formalwear retailer, Skeffington's, has tons of classic and trendy colors and fits to totally customize your wedding!
Here are some of our recent favorite menswear looks, all available to be recreated with our options! Fall in love with a look? Save it and show it to your consultant during your tuxedo appointment!
Option 1: Trendy colored suits
We are absolutely loving this trend of grooms in colors. Giving your spouse the opportunity to pop with a trendy color from your color palette is a great way to highlight them while also making the two of you the world's cutest couple. We have colored velvet tuxedoes for rent, but also have a fabulous suits for purchase - which means you can wear it for every anniversary date!
Option 2: Jewel-toned tuxedoes
If you're a bride wanting a timeless, classic look, just jazzed up with color, we recommend a deep color like burgundy. We have this exact burgundy tuxedo available to be rented; we love the black lapel accent that keeps this look formal and chic. Color swap by having the groomsmen in black suits with burgundy outfits and you've got the most pleasingly coordinated pictures!
Option 3: Multi-shades of grey
We are loving the mix-matched bridesmaids look and think it's FINALLY time that your groomsmen get just as much uniqueness in their look, too! Creating a multi-hued look is super easy, plus allows your men to wear whatever grey they've got available. Tie them together with matching accessories and boutonnieres to keep the look cohesive!
Option 4: All matching everything
Another option to keep your wedding party looking sharp? Keeping everyone in something classic - and having them all match. Regardless of the gender of your wedding party, keeping the details similar and having matching accessories ties everyone together. Having your groomswoman in a pencil skirt or your bridesman in colored suspenders are small ways to play with androgyny!
Option 4: Bring in some texture!
One of the most popular requests we get from brides these days is for texture - specifically tweed! As cozy fall weddings are becoming more popular, bringing in warm textures is a great way to heighten your spouse's look. We have tweed vests available in store in multiple colors, along with partial rental packages in case you're wanting to let your guys shine!
Option 5: All white everything
If there's a monochromatic look we've been loving for grooms recently, it's definitely the all white/ivory look. Turn tradition on its head and let the groom wear white next to you, too! We think this is a totally striking look, especially when the wedding party is in something with heavy contrast. Add a white tie but a pop of color in the flowers and you're sure to be the most fashionable couple!
