Gorgeously fabulous #dgbride Britta married her soulmate, Oliver, on December 31st, 2019, making their wedding and reception a magical New Year's Eve to always remember. Britta chose a gorgeous Morilee by Madeline Garner gown that looked so stunning, the designer wanted to feature, her too! Thanks to Kay + Bee for these delicious photos!
Britta and Oliver tied the knot at Church of the Magdalen in Wichita, KS, followed by a outrageously classy-cool New Year's Eve reception at the Wichita Country Club. Their choice of the day was so perfect - "We thought it was appropriate to start our new life together on the first day of the New Year! Plus, since New Years is a Holy Day, we will always spend our anniversary in church."
Britta's mom served as her wedding planner and definitely amped up the volume. Originally, Britta planned a low-key affair, but once her mom started giving her ideas, their plans grew into an ultra special affair! Cute details such as a string quartet, poinsettia flowers, a bourbon bar, corn hole, and a glow stick exit made their night unique and fun.
After going to two other bridal boutiques, Britta ended up at Dress Gallery ready to find her perfect gown. She fell in love with this gorgeous Morilee fit-and-flare gown, complete with multiple layers of lace, secret sparkle throughout, and a gorgeous ivory-ivory color way that popped for Christmastime!
"There was a moment before I walked down the aisle where the string quartet was playing and the light was shimmering over my Morilee gown," Britta said. "So many people said I glowed like an angel! It was such a special moment."
Her fitted gown had a low scoop back, button detailing, and pearl/crystal beading throughout the bodice. Complete with a dramatic train and this dress was the perfect compliment to her glowing, ethereal church setting. Then, when the party started, her shimmering gown allowed her to sparkle underneath the twinkling lights!
Congratulations, Britta and Oliver! We are so thankful you chose Dress Gallery as your bridal boutique. We loved getting to know you and are so proud to be a small part of your big day. We wish you two a lifetime of love and happiness!
