#dgbride: Kylie H

#dgbride: Kylie H

Y'all...this next #dgbride is near and dear to our heart at Dress Gallery. Our girl Kylie married her soulmate, Brad, in one of the most beautiful, ultra romantic, and super bougie ceremonies we've seen in a long time. Not only were we lucky enough to style Kylie and her girls, but we were also lucky enough to be invited to celebrate in their ultra gorgeous wedding day. Her photographer, Kansas City-based Brooke Buck Photography, absolutely nailed this romantic and bright wedding day with gorgeous, editorial shots and tons of emotive candids. You're gonna fall heels over head in love with Kylie, just like we all did, when you see these pictures of her wedding below!

When it came to choosing Kylie's wedding dress, she knew that she wanted something timeless, traditional, but just a little sexy. She envisioned herself in a true ivory colorway, perfect for her Catholic ceremony, while still showcasing her silhouette and highlighting her body. She landed on an absolutely stunning Essense of Australia gown (style D3300), which she customized by lining the front to keep the bodice slightly more modest. Her dress featured tank straps, a plunging neckline and side cut outs, gorgeous double banded waistline, and bold lace floral appliques throughout the soft fit-and-flare silhouette. Add in her dramatic cathedral length veil from our couture designer, Malis Henderson, and you have a STUNNING traditional yet modern wedding look!

When it came to styling her girls, Kylie was ALL ABOUT a mix-and-match color palette complete with multiple textures and colors. She basically let the girls choose whatever dress their heart desired and we found a fabric/color combination that fit the vibe of her color palette. This meant the girls were able to choose whatever made them feel their absolute best while still fitting into Kylie's wedding vision! Her group chose styles from all three of our designers - Kanali K chiffon is featured in their Cappuccino color, while Morilee's Latte color is featured in chiffon, standard satin, and silk satin. Finally, Jasmine Bridal brought in the velvet dresses with their Latte color, perfectly rounding out the combination of textures!

So....Kylie decided to surprise her consultant AND her wedding guests when she decided she wanted TWO dresses for her big day! Her consultant, Courtney, threw her in this absolutely stunning Abella Bridal dress (style E174) as the "wild card" during her consultation. Even after she had said yes to the first dress, Kylie found herself dreaming and looking back at the photos of this ultra glittery stunner. She wasn't regretting her first choice, but simply wanted a little extra WOW on her wedding day, so she came back and snagged this fitted stunner for her reception! She had the seamstress cut the train she didn't have to bustle it at all, keeping it floor length but perfect for cocktail hour and dancing the night away. Plus, the look on the guests' faces when she walked in with a completely different dress? Priceless!

Congratulations, Kylie, on your wedding day! We are so grateful that you trusted us to style not only you, but also your girls - and to trust the process enough to fall in love with the wild card gown! You are truly a visionary in our store and we were so glad to have played a small part of your big day. Thank you for letting us celebrate with you. We wish you and Brad a lifetime of love, happiness, and Murphy kisses. Cheers to the Huttons!
