Our next #dgbride is Lauren, who married her soulmate Mason on April 27th at Brick & Mortar in Wichita, KS.
Lauren and Mason are a funky and unique couple. They wanted an industrial chic wedding, which makes Brick + Mortar the perfect venue in town for them. Lauren had a clear wedding vision in mind when she started planning - pops of funky, cool details with a romantic, industrial flair. They utilized Pinterest and The Knot apps for lots of helpful planning and DIY ideas. They did their own centerpieces and floral arrangements, along with creating their own dessert table! Having a supportive group of family and friends helped make their big day run perfectly!
When it came to finding her perfect gown, Lauren had some ideas when she came into Dress Gallery, but was super open-minded when it came to finding The One. She tried on five or six gowns before deciding on her gorgeous Essense of Australia gown. Her consultant, Katie, took into consideration all the design features she was looking for to help her find this fit and flare beauty!
"The dress had a unique look with the lace and the multiple straps. I felt like it fit my personality, I felt beautiful in it, and it fit my wedding theme all perfectly!" she said.
"Dress Gallery was the one and only bridal salon I went to. I don't feel like I even tried too many dresses on, like maybe five or six. The dress I chose was the perfect combination of everything I loved in all the other dresses I tried on. As cliche as it sounds, I just knew, and my friends/family knew, that it was my dress!"
"I would recommend Dress Gallery a million times. As a plus size bride, I was a little nervous about what options were going to be available to me. There were so many!! My consultant Katie listened to what I wanted, what I liked & didn't about each dress, and was so easy to work with. I felt like she just got me. I loved that she took the time to really get to know me and what I wanted and made the experience enjoyable not just for me, but my friends and family that came along."
Not only is Lauren a #dgbride, but Mason is a #dggroom too! We were so excited to outfit Lauren's other half and make the entire bridal party look stylish. Lauren wanted Mason to have a unique, but classic look. The plaid was the perfect combination! It allowed Mason to stand out from his bridal party, but also match the cool industrial feel of the wedding. Also, can we talk about their details - how gorgeous are these metal accents and exotic flowers? We are absolutely in love!
Lauren has the best, most serene advice to upcoming brides: enjoy the day! "The time goes so fast leading up to the wedding and especially the day itself. Stop and enjoy the process. Everything will get done and ultimately, everyone is there to celebrate you and your future husband. Don't stress over the little details and trust your decisions." Amen, Lauren!
Congratulations to the Harberts! We appreciate you letting us style you for your special day. And thank you to Kara Smith of Kara Smith Photography for these beautiful photos!
Keep looking out for our next #dgbride!
