Despite COVID-19, #dgbride Morgan and her soulmate Dustin married in a small, intimate ceremony on May 9, 2020 at St. Mark's Evangelist Catholic Church. They plan on celebrating with a large group of friends and family later in the fall, but wanted to honor their original wedding date and focus on the most important part: their vow to each other! When it came to planning her dream wedding, Morgan used her intuition to make her vision come true. She utilized Pinterest and expert friends, but steered away from searching specifically for wedding items. "I searched for things like 'color scheme' or 'spring tablescapes' to find what I was looking for," Morgan said.
Her classic, chic springtime wedding featured light colors such as dusty blue, pale yellow, and accents of peach - perfect for an early May wedding. Complimented by gorgeous natural spring light, this was definitely the ultimate romantic wedding!
We love Morgan because of her warm and welcoming attitude - and she was truly the best bride to navigate throwing a wedding due to COVID-19. Less than a week before her wedding date, more gathering limits were placed, which left friends and family scrambling to re-create the wedding with less help from vendors. All the changes made everyone all-hands-on-deck, which ultimately made the 50 person ceremony much more special! Followed by an intimate reception at a closed bar & grill, Morgan's found the silver lining in having a wedding in the time of Coronavirus.
"I wanted our wedding to be as authentically us as possible, which actually happened because of Corona," she said. "Our wedding was not what we expected at all, but it was just as perfect as I could have ever wished it. P.S. - small ceremonies are the best! As I walked down the aisle, I saw the face of every single person who was present and that was so special!"
Morgan's classic and chic Essense of Australia ball gown was the perfect mixture of fun and romantic for her springtime wedding. The plunging neckline and banded waist accentuate her silhouette, while the full Mikado skirt and lace appliques keep the dress playful, whimsical, and gorgeous. Add a fabric button detail down the train for just a hint of romance and this dress was truly meant for Morgan!
"Courtney at Dress Gallery made my dress dreams come true and she works MAGIC. I knew I wanted an A-line dress, but other than that, I was clueless," Morgan said. "As Courtney and I chatted about my dream wedding, she figured out exactly what I wanted!"
We are so thankful Dress Gallery was the only bridal boutique Morgan visited. When she came back for her second appointment and re-tried on this gown, she knew it was the one! We cannot agree more. Her beauty truly radiated in this gown!
One of our favorite things about Morgan is how contagious her attitude is. Throughout her entire wedding gallery, we had a huge smile on our face simply because Morgan was beaming. You could tell her & Dustin were having the time of their lives on their simplistic wedding day. Check out some of our favorite images of Morgan looking like the happiest, most radiant goddess:
