#dgbride: Rachael

Feb 04, 2022

With love in the air on this first day of February, we wanted to pick one of the rosiest, coziest weddings from 2021 to showcase our next #dgbride. Rachael married her soulmate, Colton, in a super stunning ceremony out in Augusta at Stone Hill Barn. Our fabulous favorite Shelby Laine was their photographer and we love how she married Rachael's organic, natural wedding vision with a perfectly intimate gallery, complete with some seriously unique shots. Get ready to take a peek at some of our favorites below!

Rachael was one of our first brides to choose a style from Opal & Lace, Dress Gallery's private collection of dresses. She was definitely the first person to choose this dress, Bernadette - a stunning tulle A-line gown featuring bold lace appliques, an illusion back complete with bottoms, and a soft blush color underneath. Rachael even had us dye her veil to match the undercolor of her dress! With that, we love that she customized her look with a traditional blusher - they're coming back, we're calling it now!

We love that Rachael chose to accent her wedding day look with rose gold accents to tie in the blush/cashmere undercolor of her gown! This dress also features a subtle fabric waistband, perfect to highlight Rachael's tiny waistline, and also POCKETS! These babies are even functional, complete with fully lined, deep pockets, so you can stash snacks and Kleenex without them being seen!

Rachael also took pictures with one of her first loves - her horse, Snowball! We love when brides bring in animals that are special to them and, maybe we're biased, but we love that Snowball fits the ~aesthetic of Rachael's wedding day! Plus, we just love seeing the love that our brides have for animals that are important enough to them to include them in the most special of days. Also, can we talk about how blue and gorgeous Snowball's eyes are?! Sign us up for a styled shoot with both of them, seriously!

When it came to her 'maids, Rachael knew she wanted to continue the dusty pink color palette over into their attire. She landed on Kanali K, one of our favorite designers, in their color "French Violet." It was the perfect bridge between rose and mauve, totally matching the dusty florals Rachael chose for their bouquets. Plus, we love that it compliments the undertone of her dress while still allowing her to stand out! Her 'maids chose the styles they felt most confident and comfortable in, allowing them to showcase their personalities while still being able to groove all night. And....they have pockets, too (:

We are LOVING Rachael's rock-and-roll white leather jacket, complete with her new last name! A bridal jacket is a great way to customize your look while also being a practical solution for outerwear during those fall and winter weddings! It totally changed the look of these bridal portraits while showing off Rachael's loud, outgoing personality.

Congratulations, Rachael and Colton! We are so thankful that you trusted us to style you and your 'maids! We had a BLAST during your whirlwind appointment and are so thankful you chose our very first Opal and Lace gown! We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness and Snowball snuggles. Cheers to the Bery's!
