#dgcouple: Alix + James

#dgcouple: Alix + James

Alright, y'all, we hope you're ready because we are dropping another hot #dgcouple today and we are HYPED about it! Alix and James tied the knot in an ultra ethereal, super romantic springtime ceremony in March 2022. Their photographer, local favorite Becca Louise, was the perfect choice for their timeless yet modern wedding vision. We're biased because we were lucky enough to style not only Alix and James, but also their groomsmen, too. You're gonna wanna steal all the details from this wedding, so take a peek at some of our favorite shots below!

When it came to Alix's dress, we knew that we wanted DRAMA and her Essense of Australia ballgown definitely fit the bill! This gorgeous off-the-shoulder A-line gown featured an ultra sparkly glitter layer, a plunging v neckline, and bold lace appliques throughout the bodice and skirt. We love the horsehair trim that allowed for extra motion and gorgeous draping in all of Alix's photos. She chose to order the gown in a traditional bridal ivory, allowing her sparkle to truly shine throughout the day. She was able to dance the night away with this comfortable skirt and elastic-based sleeves for movement! (Love it? Show your stylist style D3314!)

When it came to James's look, we knew we wanted something that was traditional and classic, yet a little softer than a stark, formal black. He and his group ended up in style 150, our rentable steel grey suit, along with autumnal accents to match Alix's color palette. We LOVE when a groom decides to stand out, so we coordinated James' outfit to have ivory accents to match Alix, while the groomsmen matched the burnt orange pops of colors in the florals and decor. This combination felt fresh, modern, and fashion-forward while also feeling light and bright enough for a late springtime wedding!
