#dgcouple: Emily + Preston

#dgcouple: Emily + Preston

Have you ever just fallen heels-over-head for a couple? Like, they've just been so bougie and fantastic that you immediately felt bonded? Because our next #dgcouple is one of those couples. Emily and Preston were married in an ultra bright summertime ceremony in July 2022. We absolutely loved getting to know them both and helping them find outfits that that them feel confident and comfortable. Their photographer, Dress Gallery longtime favorite Alex Bo Photo, was the ultimate choice for this couple. We have always loved Alex's classic yet warm photography style and with a couple as outgoing as this, it was a wedding vendor match made in heaven. We all LOST IT over these shots and we're sure you will, too!

When it came to Emily's dress, she is the type of bride that makes us believe in serendipity. Emily booked her appointment during our Allure Trunk Show in early 2022 - she didn't necessarily MEAN to book for that event, but it was happening at DG during her appointment. We always try to showcase dresses by the designers, so all of the brand spankin' new Allure gowns were available for one weekend only here at DG. We normally only have a few of the dresses per collection, so being able to showcase them all is one of our favorites! Emily knew she wanted a whimsical, ethereal-felling A-line gown complete with sparkle and lace. She had a particular Wilderly gown (made by Allure Bridals) that she LOVED, but hadn't looked into trying on. About halfway through her appointment, she asked her consultant if we had anything "like this....." and showed us a picture of the EXACT Wilderly gown that had arrived two days prior. It was on our feature rack for this ONE WEEKEND ONLY and Emily didn't even mean to book her appointment during it. Had she come one weekend later, that dress would have been at a different store! We were able to immediately put it on her (the perfect color and size, too, as if the Trunk Show Gods were smiling on us) and VIOLA! This babe, Wilderly style Lexi, was the one!

The delicate spaghetti straps, the cute off-the-shoulder detailing, the gorgeous beaded lace throughout....we were easily obsessed! Plus, we can officially say that Emily is the only Dress Gallery bride with this dress. It lived in Wichita for one weekend only - like the Universe knew that Emily was coming!

When it came time to style Preston and his groomsmen, we knew that we wanted something timeless, yet not as dark as traditional black. Preston gravitated toward our charcoal grey suit, style Houston, that is the perfect combination between comfortable yet formal. This great medium-grey suit is the perfect middle ground for parties who like grey, but can easily be used in any season. We kept Preston's accents matching the wedding palette - soft greens and grey-blues - and we love how they complimented the bright and airy wedding day. Plus, maybe we're biased, but we think Preston looks super sharp!

Congratulations, Emily and Preston! We all LOVED getting to know you and helping you find your fabulous wedding day outfits. It was truly serendipitous how everything came together for your beautiful ceremony and we're so grateful to have been included. We wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter. Cheers to the Keaseys!
