Our girl, Madi, married her soulmate, Cole, in a truly romantic, beautifully effortless fall ceremony. Their photographer, Colby, KS-based MaktographyMK, absolutely slayed shooting this airy and bohemian ceremony. Mak does an absolutely stunning job when it comes to natural light and using great lighting to connect with her subjects. We absolutely LOST IT when we saw this wedding gallery and we're sure you will, too. Get ready to scream over every detail of this gorgeous, quintessential Kansas wedding!
When it came to finding her perfect dress, Madi knew she wasn't wanting a traditional gown. She shied away from overly traditional lace types, heavy beading, and standard variations of design features we've seen repeated throughout the seasons. Madi was a bride who wanted something a little different, unique, and truly stunning. She LOVED three dimension floral detailing and a soft, flowy skirt, so when we finally put on her stunning Chic Nostalgia gown (base style Junie), we knew we'd found a winner! There were actually TWO Chic Nostalgia gowns that Madi liked, but didn't love in their entirety. What's a girl to do.....except put them together of course! Chic Nostalgia is one of our few designers that offers customizations to their gowns, so we were able to totally customize the bodice + back of the dress for Madi, while still keeping the base skirt and all the details she loved! Not only did it allow her to have the dress of her dreams, but it's officially all hers - this dress's name is the Madi!
Madi ended up changing the flutter sleeves on the dress, adding gorgeous spaghetti strap beaded details to the back, and customized the 3D floral appliques through the front of the bodice! This dress is a combination between Chic's two designs, Junie and Zelda, while still being 100% made for Madi!
When it came to Cole and his groomsmen, we knew we wanted a classic black-and-white look for the guys. This traditional, timeless look was the perfect juxtaposition to Madi's ultra whimsical, bohemian vibe. Plus, we're biased at how chic and classic the menswear looks with this color scheme! Regardless of your color palette, a black-and-white look ALWAYS matches - trust us!
