#dgcouple: Morgan + Anders

#dgcouple: Morgan + Anders

Alright, guys - in celebration of our next #dgcouple, this post is coming out on the bride's birthday!! Morgan and Anders originally planned a late 2020 ceremony that COVID-19 pushed back. After patiently waiting over two years for their plans to fall together, they finally tied in the knot in Kansas City this previous October. Their photographer, OK-based Sydney Davidson, captured their day in an effortlessly moody, documentary-style gallery that we were transfixed by. Without further ado, let us introduce: Morgan and Anders!

We love Morgan and Anders, y'all. They were an absolute blast to style and not only did they trust us to style THEM, but we were also lucky enough to style their maids and men, too. It was so nice to hang out with their whole group of friends and family every time they came in. We just KNOW that this wedding was a down-to-earth, celebratory affair and the pictures that Sydney captured totally proved that!

For her gown, Morgan chose an absolutely stunning fitted Stella York gown (style 6487) featuring a high illusion neckline, illusion back, bold lace appliques, chic side cutouts, and a fabulous train with just enough drama. She kept her look timeless and traditional by choosing an all-ivory color palette and gorgeous cathedral length beaded veil to add just a POP of sparkle! Add in the fact that this dress was already perfectly Morgan's size and she was able to buy it off-the-rack and we truly believe this dress was just here, waiting at DG for her.  Real fast, grab the tissues - we LOVED these shots of Morgan and Anders' daughter, Carly, getting ready in her mom's gown. Carly was the only member of the party we weren't able to style, but seeing her in Morgan's dress truly touched our hearts.

These are the types of photos we know our brides will cherish forever! (We're not bawling over here, it's fine!! We're fine!!)  When it came to Morgan's girls, she chose a gorgeous multi-hued blue color palette, allowing her bridesmaids to pick whatever styles suited them best within the colors she loved. Her daughter and nieces also were included as junior bridesmaids, which was perfect, as all of our bridesmaids designers have junior styles available! It was a perfect way to make sure they matched, but they also received gowns that were age and alterations appropriate. Interested in junior gowns and the differences between them and women's sizing? Ask your bridesmaids specialist during your appointment! Morgan's girls shined in various colors of blue, specifically Morilee's "Slate" and "Dove" colors, along with Kanali K's "Slate" and "Dusty Blue." We absolutely love creating mix-and-match color palettes, so if you're wanting to recreate Morgan's style with your own colors, we're happy to help guide your girls into something comfortable, but also cohesive for your photos.

Seriously, we know we're biased, but Anders' guys were SO FUN to style. This group wanted something that made them look classic and timeless, while also still having that edge of unique and different that fits Anders' personality so well. We decided to land on our super popular Houston dark grey suit, a perfect trim fit and traditional color, while they paired it with their own all-black Converse for an extra cool look. We matched the blue accents to the steel blue and marine colors in the boys' ties to bring everything together! All-in-all, we love this super relaxed yet totally modern groomsmen look.

Congratulations, Morgan and Anders! We are so thankful you chose Dress Gallery as your bridal boutique. You guys were a blast to style, hang out with, and generally just get to know. We're secretly sad you're married - can y'all just plan a vow renewal every year so we have an excuse to hang out with you?! We wish you both, along with Harper and Carly, a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter. We are so thankful the Universe brought your family into our lives. Now, cheers to the Herpolsheimers!
