#dgcouple: Taylor + Kelsey

#dgcouple: Taylor + Kelsey

We MIGHT be biased, but this next #dgcouple is one of our most favorites. Introducing the McCady's! Taylor and Kelsey tied the knot in a super fun, ultra joyous ceremony in late January 2022. Despite the chilly wintertime weather, this wedding was ANYTHING but frosty - the warmth, joy, and love in the air was perfectly captured by their photographer (our fav) Shelby Laine. We loved everything about this wedding - from the modern details to the guacamole unity ceremony and everything in between. (Maybe, if we're being honest, we're hyped that they are BOTH DG brides, too, ya know...) You're going to fall in love with this couple just as quickly as we did, so read on!

Taylor is actually the longtime mutual friend of Dress Gallery consultant, Courtney, so when Taylor made her initial appointment, Courtney didn't really give her a chance.....she snatched that up really quick. Kelsey made her appointment shortly after for the same day, meaning Courtney got to do back-to-back appointments with the family members, but neither Taylor nor Kelsey knew what the other picked! It was extra fun for Courtney to be able to style both brides, as their styles were radically different and they didn't even know it!

Kelsey chose a stunning long-sleeved illusion gown with soft tulle A-line skirt, delicate beading throughout the bodice, and a soft Moscato undertone. She knew that sleeves would make her confident and comfortable on wedding day while also fitting with the winter vibe of their ceremony day. We loved that the white beading through the bodice helped the dress feel frosted and shimmery without a rhinestone feel. Plus, the unique style of lace appliques perfectly matched Kelsey's outgoing, super cool personality! Peep out her rainbow socks and comfortable wedding Keds for ultimate comfort!

For Taylor's wedding day look, she wanted something comfortable, romantic, and a little sexy. Her vision was definitely an A-line gown, but other than that, she was totally open. We learned early that she was stunning in champagne/blush undertones, which helped us fall heels-over-head with her Allure gown (style 9802L). We loved the big, bold floral appliques, softly sequined detailing, and delicate spaghetti straps. Plus, that BLUSH TONE with her hair + skin y'all! Taylor's sexy, voluminous look was a perfect combination with Kelsey's down-to-earth style.

Call us crazy, but we LOVE when brides are authentically themselves. Taylor and Kelsey's wedding day was a celebration of their love, plus a celebration of the THINGS they love - including their pups and guacamole! They created their favorite snack together as their unity ceremony, fulfilling their true destiny of falling in love over tacos. It was a perfectly simple, yet quirky way to showcase their interests in their wedding day - plus, they had some dope guacamole to eat when the wedding was all said and done!

Congratulations, Kelsey and Taylor! We are so beyond thankful that you trusted Dress Gallery as your bridal boutique. We loved getting to know you both and you are both ultra special brides. We wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, puppy kisses, and tacos. We love you, McCady family!
