When the Ashleys (aka our favorite photographer DREAM TEAM Kay x Bee) reached out to us to be apart of a branding session for another local favorite vendor of ours, Danielle from Pins and Knots, we IMMEDIATELY jumped at the chance. While not an official bridal photoshoot for us, Danielle has been an instrumental part of our brides' wedding days for over three years now. Her business has BOOMED over the last few years and we are always floored by how gorgeous brides look when we receive their wedding galleries. She partnered with the Ashleys to help re-brand her business, creating some GORGEOUS images that truly showcase her amazing talent. It was serendipitous to be asked for this photoshoot as well, as we had recently received some brand spankin' new Morilee couture gowns never before photographed by DG! This branding session was the perfect way to showcase some stylish new dresses to Wichita brides while also helping out some of our absolute favorite wedding vendors. You're going to DIE over the styling of these gowns. Fall in love with the dresses? Come see us! Fall in love with the hair? Call our girl Danielle! Fall in love with the photos + posing? That's all Kay x Bee. You'll see in the photos below why this was a styled shoot match made in heaven!
Our first bridal look is a couture Madeline Garner gown, style 2487. Appropriately named Fleurette for the astronomical amount of three-dimensional florals throughout this dress, this strapless ballgown features detachable long sleeves for a dramatic style change! She features 17 layers of material, varying from hard tulle to sequined textured lace to 3D florals. This dress literally has it ALL - it's the definition of extra. When you have a gown this extravagant, styling can vary from equally bougie to simplistic and chic. We aimed for a clean, simplistic bridal look for our model Micha. Danielle chose to do a classic bridal low bun, complete with large milkmaid braid for extra definition and volume. We paired with one of our subtle hair vines and soft plain tulle veil to keep all the emphasis on this gorgeous dress!
Our next stunner is an ultra sexy, ultra comfy sheath fitted dress complete with detachable off-the-shoulder sleeves! Morilee style 2424 features a soft sweetheart strapless neckline that's timeless, classic, and sophisticated while featuring a bold layer of glitter tulle for extra sparkle. Her soft fit-and-flare silhouette is perfect for showcasing a bride's curves while the dress features a luxurious stretch liner to help dance the night away. The bold lace appliques feature soft sequining for just a little extra shimmer. The sheer bodice adds a hint of sexy to this gown while the effortless glitter tulle train is perfectly dramatic, but easy to bustle for your reception! We love that Danielle kept this look a little looser, a little more easy-going for such a down-to-earth dress. Whether you're getting married in a church or beachside, this dress can do it all! Paired with a beautiful hairpiece and soft beach waves, this is the perfect "cool girl" vibe.
Our next stunning Morilee gown is style 2467, aptly named Fortunata because this babe is bougie. Featuring super delicate, beaded spaghetti straps, an illusion plunging neckline complete with beaded illusion mesh, ultra daring side cut outs, a low back, and a dramatic train, this dress is for a bride ready to WOW her audience. Truly, this is the type of gown that guests gasp at when the doors open! A stunning combination of sexy, yet sophisticated, this classic silhouette has been updated with all the modern design features our brides are loving - jeweled accents, sexy cut outs, and stretch lining to move around your reception comfortably. Danielle kept this look formal with a true bridal up-do look, leaning into the vibe that this dress was MADE for an upscale venue. We love how the updo showcases the delicate decolletage of the model!
For our final Morilee dress, we chose a fitted boho beauty that Danielle PERFECTLY captured with her bridal styling. This dress, (style 2366), is a fully lace beauty complete with a big, bold lace pattern truly for the modern bride. It features soft, subtle beading on the straps, through the bodice, and trickling into the skirt to add shimmer but also make it comfortable for a full day's of activities. The soft, slightly sexy keyhole back adds a unique design feature before settling into the super cool train. We LOVE that Danielle went a little more bohemian with the bridal style, choosing a billowy bridal braid and pearl accents. We styled the braid with a scattered pearl and crystal veil, allowing for a little bit of glam without taking away the down-to-earth feel of the dress. We can only IMAGINE the perfect Western-inspired wedding with this gown!
Thank you SO MUCH, Danielle, for including us in your branding shoot! It's always really exciting when we get to showcase some of our exclusive dresses, but having it be at the request of a vendor we love and admire means so much to us. Danielle is literally the PERFECT choice for your bridal hair and you should run, not walk, to book her! She's a hot commodity in the Wichita area; you can tell why by just these styled shoot looks! Thank you so much Danielle, (and the Ashleys!), for helping us show off some gorgeous Morilee gowns and letting us play dress up with you!
