We are SO THANKFUL for this styled shoot we did recently, y'all. We were put into connection with Regina from K and P Photography, a new favorite partner of ours who ALSO connected us with Katie, our fabulous model. Katie is Miss South Central in the pageant circuit and we instantly bonded. She's a fabulous model with a contagious laughter; we knew immediately she was going to be a consistent staple as a future model for us. This ultra cool, bright and edgy Downtown Wichita styled shoot gave us all the Millennial vibes - if you're an untraditional bride, this should be some great inspiration for your wedding! Check out some of our favorite shots below:

We chose Essense of Australia style D2761, a super fabulous A-line gown featuring a plunging neckline, off-the-shoulder sleeves, the most buttery soft material, and POCKETS. This styled shoot was meant to be playful and fun, so we wanted a dress that would fit that vibe - perfect for the bride who doesn't take herself too seriously. Instead of bougie heels and expensive jewelry, they paired the dress with an edgy pair of combat boots and a denim jacket. If you're a bride whose down-to-earth but looking to make a statement on your wedding day, the juxtaposition between "casual" accents and a formal gown is a great way to bridge the gap!

We love any opportunity to stop by our friends, Free State Flora, so we were so excited to see these shots. Emily and her team create beautiful, luxurious-looking arrangements and bouquets which make the most gorgeous, natural accents in photos. Add in the fabulous, trendy hat with the pampas grass/dried floral accents and WE LOVE THIS LOOK!
Wichita is home to some gorgeous murals and we love that Regina leaned into that resource. We love highlighting Wichita and the youthful quality to having a very art-centered photoshoot fit perfectly with the theme of the styled shoot. The "You're a Gem!" mural is one of our personal favorites here at DG so we were so excited to see it showcased. The bright, bold colors in the florals accented the modern art and add a great pair of Doc Martens and we wanna steal this look!
